Great value set!

The 12" travel board looks great. I changed my order from a 10" to a 12"and with the help of Gary, he helped me get it done. I'm very happy with the quality of the chess set. The extra pieces ( pawns, queen and with set of a different style knight) are a must!

This is the third magnetic chessboard, in various sizes (10"-12"-14"), that I have purchased from House of Chess in recent years. The quality of the wood and the beauty of the pieces are top notch for me.

My package arrived well protected. The pieces are nicely weighted and feel good in my hand. Very classic look The board is beautiful and the storage drawers give each piece great protection which will keep the pieces safe. Very satisfied!

Beautifully crafted pieces delivered on time. I only have 2 tiny recommendations. The first is that the chess pieces arrived in a box with each piece individually wrapped in bubble wrap. The previous order the pieces were delivered in a box with foam inserts protecting the pieces. the other recommendation is to ditch the Shop app to track your package. When I downloaded the app it immediately told me my package had already been delivered which made me contact the company directly. They were great, and notified me that my package had not been shipped yet, and provided me emails when the packaged shipped with tracking information. I will order these pieces for a third time if I find a need. Outstanding product.

Board came with multiple scratches and dents. I emailed support they blamed the courier and offered no other support.

Craftsmanship is great. Size is not so big and not so small. Good for travel and having fun. My son is amazed that it is magnetic considering it is mainly made of wood.

I was looking for a board of this exact size, but which also had “notations” to help me learn. I ordered this one and am very pleased! It is beautiful, well made, and solid. It was very well protected in shipping.

Terrific little 3" set

We have 3 of these little sets in 3 different wood combinations in our house: ebonized/boxwood, ringy rosewood/boxwood, and ebony/bloodwood. They are terrific. You'll be hard pressed to find a comparable sized set for the same amount of money that gives you as much as this little set does- quality, triple weighted, and especially the detailed night. Are they as great as a larger more expensive set? No. But as small sets go, I haven't found anything as nice. Each set has exceeded my expectations upon seeing them each for the first time.

Absolutely gorgeous board (and I have a few). Website pics do not do the redness of the bloodwood justice. For the money, it is hard to beat these boards in any size. Highly recommend.
